Police investigate sexual abuse of 14-year-old girl

Police have launched an investigation into the sexual abuse of a young girl in Male’ City. 

A police spokesperson said the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old was reported to the police on Friday night. 

Video of the police escorting the suspect out of a house in Male’ City has gone viral on social media. 

However, the police have yet to confirm an arrest in the case. 

The latest case of sexual abuse of a child has renewed public concern over continued incidents of sexual violence in Maldives.
