Jumhoory Party (JP)’s deputy leader, former transport minister Ameen Ibrahim states the government coalition partner will welcome all who wish to work with the party.

In a press conference on Tuesday evening, Ameen said JP welcomes all who wish to support the party.

“The party’s platform is open to all, including those who worked with us but later drifted away, and all who wish to re-join the party. We want to let them know the opportunity remains open,” he said.

Ameen said JP’s leader Qasim Ibrahim was a capable leader who works well with others.

He said that the JP’s goal was to move forward by working together with everyone, as Qasim himself wishes.

Ameen said he wished to invite all those who wanted to join JP or work together with JP members.

Ameen said JP’s leaders would soon embark on a tour to strengthen the party’s efforts in branches across Maldives.

JP is set to hold its congress in December, as all political parties prepare for the upcoming presidential elections.

However, JP’s council has yet to finalize a date for the congress.
