Kulhudhuffushi’s Mayor Athif and MP Yasir rejoin MDP

Kulhudhuffushi City Mayor Mohamed Athif and North Kulhudhuffushi MP Yasir Abdul Latheef have re-joined the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).

They signed for MDP in a meeting at the Salt Café in Male’ City on Tuesday night.

The meeting was attended by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, along with Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid and Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer.

In addition to Athif, all other councilors from Kulhudhuffushi who signed for The Democrats also rejoined the MDP.

Neither Athif, nor Yasir were immediately available for comment.
