The aspirations of the Maldivian people are linked to the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People’s National Congress (PNC), says Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the presidential candidate of the opposition PPM-PNC coalition.

He made the comment while speaking to reporters at the Velana International Airport on Wednesday evening, before embarking on his campaign tour of V. Atoll, M. Atoll, F. Atoll, and Dh. Atoll.

Muizzu said that his recent tour of the Bodu Thiladhunmathi region showed him how much the people wanted a PPM-PNC administration.

He said the coalition wants to fulfill that desire, and color all aspirations the people have.

“My trip to HA. Atoll and HDh. Atoll was a successful tour. We have a lot of support from the people. I saw that the people’s aspirations are most deeply linked to PPM-PNC,” he said.

Muizzu said that after his current tour of four atolls, he will next meet people in Male’ and other atolls.

“This campaign will become an administration that works closely with the people,” he said.

Muizzu is set to visit multiple islands in V. Atoll, M. Atoll, F. Atoll, and Dh. Atoll in his current tour. He is accompanied by top officials from the opposition coalition.
