Woman stabs sales assistant in Male' shop

Police are investigating an incident where a woman attacked a man with a knife in Male’.

A Police Media Official said that they received information around 11:02 am today that a man with injuries from a sharp object was being treated at ADK hospital.

A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident as per the police.

ADK said that the injured man is being treated and his condition is stable.

A video circulating on social media shows a woman entering an electronics shop in Male’ and talking to a male employee. After a while, the video shows the woman took a knife and suddenly stabbed the employee in the neck and left the shop.

Police said that they are investigating the incident further.
