President Muizzu meets former president Maumoon

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Monday, met with former president Maumoon Abdul Gayyom.

The meeting was held at the President’s Office.

As per the office, both leaders discussed social and political issues in the country. They also spoke on other initiatives and programs aimed at improving the nation and its citizens.

Last week, President Muizzu held separate meetings with leaders of political parties; MDA’s Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Jumhoory Party’s Qasim Ibrahim and MNP’s Mohamed Nazim.

The President’s Office said President Muizzu, during these meetings, underscored the importance of opinion and discussions with all political figures in running the government.  

The Office added that the President will be holding meetings with additional political figures as well.
