Local authorities have apprehended and remanded two individuals alleged with threatening two court judges and the police.

The Criminal Court remand order issued for the two individuals on Sunday read that authorities arrested two local males, aged 22 and 32 years. While the court issued a 15-day remand for the younger suspect, the older suspect was held in remand for five days upon his request to appoint a defense attorney.

The order also confirms that sufficient evidences have been produced against the two suspects, which includes threatening two court judges and an officer of the Maldives Police Service who attended the scene of crime.

Both suspects reportedly hold records of multiple criminal offenses.
