Car overturns in accident in Addu

Two cars crashed in a dangerous accident in Addu City on Tuesday, resulting in extensive damages to both vehicles.

Addu councilman Hussain Zareer told Sun that the accident took place at around 08:15 am Tuesday, outside the city council office in Hithadhoo.

Pictures taken from the scene show the accident resulted in massive damages to both vehicles. The pictures show one of the cars tipped over on its side, with the underside of the vehicle braced against the wall of a building.

Zareer said that despite the damages to the vehicles, the accident did not result in any injuries.

Information released by the police show that 4,483 accidents have been reported so far this year.
