Met Office: Weather to better than present for all regions on election day

Maldives Metrological Service (Met Office) states weather is expected to be better than at present for all Maldivian regions next Sunday, the date of the parliamentary election.

Many are expected to travel to cast their votes on Sunday.

Met Office forecasts weather is expected to be than at present for all regions, with generally good weather expected at northern atolls.

However, they forecast rain showers for central and southern atolls.

Meanwhile, calm seas and winds of five to 15 miles per hour are expected nationwide. 

While many prepare to travel to vote, both Sunday and Monday have been declared government holidays in conjunction with the election.
