Suspect in police custody tries to escape during hospital visit

A suspect in police custody who was taken to the hospital for a doctor consultation has tried to escape through a window in the bathroom.

When questioned by Sun, Police said a suspect in custody at AA. Rasdhoo Police Station was taken to Alifu Aliu Atoll Hospital for a doctor consultation last night.

According to the Police, the suspect tried to escape through a window in a bathroom while kept in observation, however, was subdued by the officer on duty accompanying the suspect to the hospital.

The Police did not disclose the identity of the suspect nor what crimes they stand accused of.
