MIFCO hires Athif as a strategic consultant

Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) has appointed economist Athif Shakoor as a strategic consultant at the state-run enterprise. Athif confirmed to Sun that he was appointed to the role on June 1. According to Athif, he has been tasked with spearheading strategic changes the company needs. Athif had applied for the role of CEO and Managing Director of MIFCO back in July 2024.
