Sun Media introduces the first 360 video of Maldivian Media

The Head of News at SunTV, Ibrahim Zaki show the beauty of the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi on his visit to the Saudi Arabia to cover the Saudi preparations for the Hajj Pilgrimage. He has prepared a 360 video showing the entire mosque and posted it on the popular social media platform, Facebook.

Creative Director of Sun Media, Musthafa Mohamed Rasheed (Mustho) said that the goal of Sun Media is to bring innovations that are user friendly and interesting for the readers. Mustho said that similar innovations would be brought to the public by Sun Media in the future.

Chief Editor of Sun Online, Ahmes Zahir (Hiriga) said that Sun Online would always try to utilize all the technology available to proceed further.

As the technologies being used in the field of media are advancing day by day, Hiriga said that Sun Online would always work to shape the news and information to appeal to the reader’s interest.

In the past seven years, Sun Media has introduced a number of new things to the Maldivian Media. In 2011, Sun Media was the first to live stream important functions and protest rallies. The first iPhone application by a Maldivian Media was from Sun Media. The first to introduce SMS news alerts in the country was by Sun Media as well.
