Missing tourist couple found alive

The Chinese tourist couple reported missing while out in the water near Adaaran Prestige Vadoo have been found alive.

Maldives National Defense Force reported on Friday afternoon that the missing Chinese tourist couple have been found alive, and that they were being transported to Male’ on Coastguard’s speedboat, Nooruddin.

Information officer of MNDF, Major Adnan Mohamed reported that the tourists were found approximately 12 miles away from Adaaran Prestige Vadoo.

Who found the tourists, and the status of their condition is unclear at this point.

Adnan reports that the two tourists are a Chinese couple; one a 38-year-old man and the other

a 24-year-old woman.

They were last seen out on a transparent seabed in the water towards north of the resort.

MNDF received report the couple had gone missing at midnight, Thursday.
