Thomas Cook India – one of the top travel agencies in India – has joined Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) to launch a three-month campaign to enhance Maldives’s brand presence.

MMPRC says they expect the campaign to boost arrivals from a range of Indian traveler segments, including millennials, young working professionals, and ad-hoc groups of families and friends.

Commenting on the partnership with Thomas Cook India, MMPRC’s Managing Director Thoyyib Mohamed stated that Maldives is not just a honeymoon destination, but offers a variety of experiences for a diverse range of travelers.

Thomas Cook India will be promoting Maldives across different platforms under the campaign.

The travel agency said Maldives is already a popular destination among Indian travelers, and will focus on highlighting the benefits of easy access and free visa-on-arrival process, coupled with Maldives natural beauty, to drive demand for the destination under the campaign.

India is a key source market for tourist arrivals to Maldives. The country was the top source market for tourist arrivals in 2020, and the second top source market tourist arrivals this year.
