Foreigner who committed suicide was from the UK

The Maldives Police Service has stated that a foreigner who committed suicide last week while in police custody was a citizen of the United Kingdom who was detained under drug-related offenses.  Police today stated that two people were arrested after attempting to traffic 3.4 kgs of drugs into the Maldives around late April, in an operation run in coordination with Maldives
