Senior police officer passes away suddenly

A senior police officer who has dedicated years to the force passed away suddenly on Sunday.

Chief Inspector of Police Mohamed Ziyadh, 44, passed away early Sunday morning.

He had passed away while being treated at Tree Top Hospital after falling unconscious while at home.

Ziyadh’s funeral prayer will be held at Hulhumale’ cemetery mosque after Asr prayer.

Close acquittances of Ziyadh report that he has no known health issue, adding he had been very active in Maldives Police Service leading up to his death.

Many officers have expressed condolences following Ziyadh’s passing. Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau has extended condolences to Ziyadh’s family on behalf of the Maldives Police Service.
