Qasim defends seat, Nahula faces defeat

Jumhoory Party (JP) leader and famous entrepreneur Qasim Ibrahim has defended his seat for Maamigili constituency in Sunday's parliamentary election. Preliminary results show Qasim has defended his seat, however, his wife, former Minister of Transport Aishath Nahula, who was contending for South-Hulhumale' seat faced defeat. The initial results show Nahula has secured 208 votes, while Dr. Ahmed Shamheed from MDP secured 1,020
