Man arrested from Male’ home with 4 kilos of drugs

The police have made one arrest in a counter-drug operation in the Maldivian capital, that led to the seizure of four kilos of drugs.

The arrest was made on Thursday, May 2, in a joint operation by the Police Intelligence Department and the Drug Enforcement Department (DED).

The police identified the suspect arrested in the case as a 36-year-old Maldivian male.

Following the arrest, the police raided the suspect’s apartment, where they found four kilos of drugs.

According to the police, the Criminal Court has remanded him in custody of the police for 15 days.

The case is under investigation by the DED.
